More than one million evacuated, flights cancelled, as Typhoon Dolphin hits China

Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in densely populated eastern China on Sunday, meteorological authorities said, after the storm triggered more than 1,000 flight cancellations, 1 million evacuations, and a top-level alert.

The cyclone had already swept across Japan, injuring six people and cutting power to more than 50,000 buildings.
